SUN POWER YOGA
Combining both Sivananda for breathing techniques, Iyengar for correct alignment and Ashtanga Vinyasa for strength Sun Power Yoga is a powerful yoga practice, which will energise your whole body.
Classes start with pranayama exercises (breathing techniques).
We then work through the Sun Power series, which is a dynamic flowing sequence that strengthens and improves flexibility in the spine. Yoga asanas (postures) are practiced and held with focus on correct alignment, using props when needed. The session ends in a deep relaxation.

SIVANANDA YOGA
Swami Sivananda brought authentic yoga to the west some 60 years ago. Sivananda yoga focuses on specific principles:
- proper breathing
- proper exercise
- proper relaxation
- positive thinking and meditation
- proper diet
Many of us are stressed due to todays lifestyle. Sivananda classes help to address these stresses by learning to understand how to control them through proper breathing, asana and relaxation techniques. Classes aim at bringing awareness to the breath through a series of exercises; this in turn helps to bring a greater awareness to how the body responds to the mind. Sun salutations and yoga asanas are performed slowly to strengthen the body ending with a deep relaxation.

OM THE BALL Om the ball is yoga on a Pilate’s ball. It helps to strengthen the core and uses the aid of the ball as a support to stretch deeper into the postures (asanas). Om the Ball starts with a simple routine that you can build on to make it more powerful, it’s great fun as well and ideal for post-natal pregnancy. |

PREGNANCY YOGA
Yoga can be very beneficial during pregnancy, helping you to breathe deeply and relax, which in turn helps with the physical demands of pregnancy, labor, birth and motherhood. Taking a pregnancy yoga class is also a great way to meet other mums to be. It’s not a time to push yourself but rather a time to give yourself the much-needed opportunity to slow down and connect with your baby and your body as it changes. You will learn breathing techniques, gentle poses and relaxation for both you and your baby through each of the trimesters.

YOGA FOR THE LESS FLEXIBLE
Whether new to yoga or arriving with some previous experience these classes are aimed at improving flexibility, strength and balance. Sessions will include support and guidance for alternative postures for those that are less flexible. As your practice builds you will however see an improvement in your flexibility and strength. Yoga really supports the health of the spine and over time poor posture can be realigned. If you have serious health conditions though it is always advisable to check with your physician to make sure it is safe for you to practice first. |
CHAIR YOGA
Similar to Yoga for over 60's but using a chair to aid balance. Ideal for those with poor leg strength, flexibility and balance problems. |

With Yoga Nidra you will enter a space of deep relaxation, a state between wakefulness and sleep where adjustments are carried out through gentle suggestion and guided visualisation. Yoga Nidra brings awareness to the healing properties found within each of us, enabling each individual to connect to their inner self whilst allowing the mind and body to completely relax.
